Drea de Matteo engaged to Scooter Jennings

Country rock prodigy Shooter Jennings revealed on his Twitter page that he asked longtime girlfriend and mother of his child Drea de Matteo to marry him last week.

He popped the question Thursday night at a concert in Utica, N.Y.

“Asked drea to marry me on stage tonight,” Jennings Tweeted. “I’m a lucky man. I’ll never forget Utica, Ny. Hands off m———— she said yes but she’s mad.”

A source said, “He called her on stage and she had no idea. She was with their daughter; her parents were in the audience. She was totally surprised but overjoyed. It’s been a long time coming. They have a beautiful love story. They are both thrilled.”

De Matteo and Jennings have one daughter together, Alabama Gypsyrose, born November 2007.
