Former ER star Maura Tierney has announced that she will soon undergo surgery to remove a tumor from her breast. The surgery which has put an eight week hold on production on her new NBC series "Parenthood," is said to give the star an idea of her exact diagnosis or course of treatment. The 44 year old said she is feeling "very optimistic as to the outcome."
The halt in Tierney's series production has bumped its launch but not to worry Michelle Trachtenberg's new series "Mercy" has swooped in to take its place! The new series scheduled to launch in January will now premier in September forcing the cast and crew of the medical show to work much earlier and harder to make its fall debut!
But what does this mean for Trachtenberg's sure to be drama filled stint on the upcoming "Gossip Girls" season 3?? Not to worry fans, sources say there should not be a conflict as Trachtenberg's "Mercy" contract included a clause allowing her time off to shoot "Gossip Girls."
