Former American Idol champion Carrie Underwood just got engaged to her boyfriend and Ottawa Senators player Mike Fischer.

Underwood's rep confirmed the news today by saying, “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher,and the couple couldn’t be happier. No wedding date has been set at this time.” The marriage proposal happened over the weekend in Fisher's native Canada. They have been dating for about a year. Congrats to Carrie and Mike!
