Shia LaBeouf to pick up the whip in fifth Indy movie

The ever-so-crappy “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” set up the franchise to rise from the ashes and now it’s official. Shia LaBeouf has confirmed the studio is planning to bring Indiana Jones back for a fifth time.

LaBeouf played Indiana Jones’ son and sidekick Mutt (please God, find another nickname) and will be the new lead in the next round. LaBeouf and Ford both denied that the “Transformers” star was set to take over the franchise.

But LaBeouf revealed director Steven Spielberg is working on another script. He gave no further details.

“Steve just said that he cracked the story on it, and I think they’re gearing that up.”

Commence praying there are no damned aliens in this one.
