“I can’t wear a skirt that’s too short any more. It’s not that my legs are bad, it just looks silly. I feel less pressure to dress youthfully. I’m in my 50s and everyone knows I’m in my 50s – who are you kidding? Jeans are my uniform. I have about 15 pairs,” said Pfeiffer.
She recently revealed getting older makes her feel “free”.
“If you think hitting 40 is liberating, wait until you hit 50 – and I was surprised at how liberating it was. The anticipation of something is always much worse than the reality,” said the actress.
Pfeiffer said she hasn’t had any career problems due to her age and keeps getting cast with sexy young actors.
“It seems my leading men keep getting younger the older I get. It seems people have an aversion about casting me with men my age. Lucky for me, I don’t really mind,” said Pfeiffer.
“The roles become more interesting the older you get. It’s also at a time in my life when I’m not wanting to just work all the time, so it’s all just fine.”
