Britney goes brunette, is not dead

Britney’s gone dark. The singer has gone brunette and was spotted with her new ‘do this weekend with supposed boyfriend (and agent) Jason Trawick in Santa Monica, Calif., buying brooms and picture frames.

Last week, a source close to the singer denied reports that the two are engaged.

But another source said Trawick, 27, has had “a calming effect over Britney.”

Yet another source added, “He is incredible with the kids (Sean, 3; Jayden, 2). He absolutely adores them.”

Spears’ appearance this weekend confirmed that the singer is alive and well. She was among a contingent of stars, including Ellen DeGeneres and Sean “Diddy” Combs, whose TwitPic accounts were hacked over the weekend.

“Britney has passed today,” one of the messages said. “It is a sad day for everyone. More news to come.”

“Britney’s Twitter was just hacked,” her current message reads. “The last message is obviously not true. She is fine and dandy spending a quiet day at home relaxing.”

Diddy, DeGeneres and Spears have all since deleted the photos and messages alleging their deaths.
