Mariah Carey: Night owl



careyMaybe Mariah Carey is a vampire. Those are hot right now and she’s always been about following the trends. The singer is refusing to record her new album during the day. “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” is a nighttime project for her.

Carey tweeted in the wee hours of the morning: “In the studio? driving the engineer crazy cos I’m a control freak and once again we’re STARTING at 1:16 am..perfectly normal: ) (sic)”

Two hours later, she posted that she was still working on the track.

Referring to her decision to sing all backing vocals on the song, Mariah wrote: “still in the studio. Hopefully I’ll finish this one tonite. It has a lot of bv’s and I’m doing them but you know I like that mess. (sic)”

Carey eventually decided to stop recording at about 4:15 a.m., when she went to her kitchen to play with her dogs.
