Emma Thompson to take a year off



emma2British movie star Emma Thompson is taking a year off from acting, but she’ll stay in touch with the theater, by teaching drama at her daughter’s school.

The “Last Chance Harvey” actress turned 50 in April and has decided to take a step back out of the spotlight to enjoy family life.

She told the UK’s Daily Express newspaper, “I’m taking a year off. That’s my birthday present to myself. I’m not going to act, write or anything like that. I’ll just be a mum. I’ll teach drama at my daughter’s school, I’ll cook meals and have fun.”
