A source close to Posh, who was forced to turn down a walk-on role in the first SATC film because of rehearsals for the Spice Girls’ reunion tour – said: “She really wanted to be in the last movie but wasn’t able to take part because of her commitments with the Spice Girls. This time she’s keen to take part.”
Victoria herself has mentioned her regret:
“I got asked to be in the ‘Sex and the City’ film, which I would love to have done. But, because I am in full-on Spice Girls rehearsals, I can’t do it,” she said in an interview last year.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2007, Victoria has been trying to squeak into the movie industry. She had a cameo in “Ugly Betty” last year and who can forget her riveting turn as herself in 1997 in “Spice World: The Movie.”
Isn’t acting all about play someone who’s not yourself?
