David Letterman has just revealed that he had an affair with a CBS staff member and is the victim of a $2 million extortion attempt.
He said he had a sexual encounter with a number of female staff members of his CBS Late Show.  Apparently, he received a package 3 weeks ago saying if he didn't pay $2 million his affair would be made public. He contacted the police and they jumped on the lead and arrested the person. Letterman said he testified Thursday before a grand jury and admitted he had an affair.  "My response to that is, yes I have. Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would. I feel like I need to protect these people. I need to certainly protect my family."
