Seth Rogen isn’t satisfied with his “Entourage” feud. Now he’s taking on his “Knocked Up” co-star Katherine Heigl’s latest film.
Rogen, who will challenge her this weekend at the theater with “Funny People,” was upset when Heigl claimed “Knocked Up” “painted women as shrews” while making the men look “loveable.” Now he has questioned the portrayal of the sexes in her new movie “The Ugly Truth.”
“That film looks like it really puts women on a pedestal in a beautiful way!” said Rogen
Judd Apatow, who directed them both in “Knocked Up” and helmed “Funny People,” too, added: “I hear there’s a scene where she’s wearing underwear with a vibrator in it, so I’d have to see if that was uplifting for women.”
(It might not be uplifting but, uh, I’m here to say it’s true to life).
Revealing he still feels hurt by Heigl’s comments, Apatow said: “You think at some point I’ll get a call saying, ‘Sorry, I was tired,’ and then the call never comes.”
Honey, you’re not the only one. I think the “Grey’s Anatomy” people are still waiting.
Heigl’s tendency to say stupid things is a comfort to Rogen.
He said: “I’ve got to say it’s not like we’re the only people she said some bad shit crazy things about. That’s kind of her bag now.”
Apatow also said he didn’t understand Katherine’s actions because she was very involved with making the film with him at the time, even improvising her own lines.
“Seth always says, it doesn’t make any sense because she improvised half her shit. At the time, on set, she could not have been cooler,” said Apatow.
